I am an old hand at Armacell. What I found out through all these years is that enjoyment of work is the key to success.

Georg started his career more than 25 years ago at Armstrong World Industries as an Application Engineer. After a few career steps within the company he joined the European Marketing Department as Product Marketing Manager for black Elastomeric Products in 2001. Five years later Georg took over the direct and functional responsibilities for a team of technical Marketing Managers in Muenster and EMEA. He steers the technical advocacy work for the EMEA organization working on standards and regulations. One of the currently biggest projects is updating and recalculating the energy savings potential of Armacell products during their in-use-phase.

Even though Georg has been working here for many years he still remembers his first days. “I received a really detailed introduction to the company and to my job. What impressed me most was the trustful spirit. I felt that the employer trusted its people. That’s what I still appreciate about working at Armacell: I have the competence to manage and carry out my tasks independently. This is a privileged way to work:”

Furthermore, Georg likes to work together with many different people. “Working with different and international colleagues leads to new ideas, different thoughts and diverse approaches. This is a huge enrichment and makes work both more exciting and more successful.

For the future I wish Armacell to stay a reliable employer and to further adhere to its values. To me it is important to keep in mind that profit maximization is one value among many others that are important for the employees as well.”
